People in America watch football a lot, often munching on snack food and drinking beer. But, once the NFL playoffs start and culminate in this weekend’s Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the audience increases dramatically and wine becomes the social beverage of choice for a growing legion of fans. As New York Times reporter Ken Belson points out, much of that affinity for good wine and professional football is coming from Millennials. And, with the big game being played so close to Wine Country, it’s no surprise that the lucky few attending in person will have a their choice of 60 different brands to choose from. For the rest of us (about 100 million in the U.S.), there’s always semi-sweet, semi-sparkling MIA ROSA to match with your chicken wings or fruit and cheese platters. Enjoy the game!
